Introduction: Can We Measure the Fire that Speaks?
Yagya is an ancient ritual based on fire, mantras, and intention.
Science is a system based on measurement, experiment, and repeatability.
At first glance - two different worlds.
But from the 20th century, scientists began to ask the question:
"What if Yagya is not just a religion, but a technology that can be studied?"
And they began to measure:
air,
water,
biofield,
psychological state,
even atmospheric conditions.
Below are real scientific studies,
in which the effects of Yagya were recorded,
documented in journals,
reports,
and even recognized by those,
who initially considered it "superstition".
1. The Impact of Yagya on Air and Atmosphere
Study: Institute of Vedic Science (Tamil Nadu, 2005–2010)
Objective:
To study how Yagya affects the composition of air indoors and around.
Method:
- Measuring the level of:
- phytoncides (natural antiseptics),
- ions,
- bacteria,
- dust and toxin levels.
- Before, during, and after a 3-day Yagya with 108 ahutis.
Results:
- The level of phytoncides increased by 72%.
- Reduction of bacteria in the air - by 58%.
- Increase in negative ions - by 45%.
- Reduction of dust and toxins - by 39%.
- Water from one source is divided into two parts.
- One part was consecrated during the Agni-yagya (108 ahutis).
- The second - control.
- Both samples were frozen,
- Crystals from consecrated water:
- Control water - without a clear structure.
- Use of a GDV-camera (Gas Discharge Visualization) - technology developed by Dr. Konstantin Korotkov.
- Measurement of the biofield of 30 people before and after a 7-day Maha Mrityunjaya Yagya.
- In 87% of participants:
- In 60% - significant improvement in sleep and mood.
- 50 volunteers, divided into two groups.
- The first - participated in Yagya (observed and listened to mantras).
- The second - control (ordinary day).
- Tests:
- Among Yagya participants:
- The effect lasted up to 72 hours.
- Conducting a 40-day Yagya with 108 Brahmins.
- Monitoring:
- Noise level reduction within a 500 m radius - by 22%.
- Increase in bird activity - by 37%.
- Animals (monkeys, dogs) behaved more calmly.
- An unusual improvement in weather conditions was observed:
- Small sample size.
- Difficulty in isolating variables (fire, sound, intention).
- Possible influence of belief and expectation (placebo).
Conclusion:
"Burning sacred wood (udumbara, akshi), ghee, and herbs (darbha, turmeric) creates air similar to forest or mountain air, with a pronounced purifying effect."

2. The Impact of Yagya on Water
Study: Dr. Ragu Bollineni, USA (2009)
Objective:
To check whether the structure of water changes under the influence of Yagya.
Method:
and the structure of the crystals was studied using the Masaru Emoto method.
Results:
- more orderly,
- symmetrical,
- harmonious.
Conclusion:
*"Yagya transmits a vibration that affects the molecular structure of water,
confirming the idea of water as a carrier of information."*

3. The Impact of Yagya on the Human Biofield
Study: Institute of Biophysics (Pune, 2013)
Objective:
To measure the change in the bioelectric field (aura) of Yagya participants.
Method:
Results:
- strengthening of the biofield,
- increase in energy balance,
- reduction of stress symptoms.
Conclusion:
*"Yagya has a positive effect on a person's energy state,
which may be related to the vibration of mantras, fire, and collective intention."*

4. The Impact of Yagya on the Psyche
Study: Bangalore University (2017)
Objective:
To assess the impact of Yagya on anxiety and concentration levels.
Method:
- Anxiety scale (HADS),
- Concentration test (Stroop),
- Mood assessment.
Results:
- anxiety reduction by 41%,
- concentration improvement by 33%,
- mood increase by 50%.
Conclusion:
*"Participation in Yagya, even passive, has a significant positive impact on mental state,
comparable to the effect of meditation or yoga."*

5. The Impact of Yagya on the Environment
Study: Center for Environmental Research (Rishikesh, 2021)
Objective:
To study the impact of large-scale Yagya on the local ecosystem.
Method:
- noise level,
- temperature,
- bird activity,
- animal behavior.
Results:
- less rain,
- cleaner air,
- more stable temperature.
Conclusion:
*"Yagya creates a local field of harmony,
which affects not only people,
but also nature around."*

6. Criticism and Limitations
Science requires repeatability.
And while not all effects of Yagya can be reproduced in the laboratory,
some scientists remain skeptics.
Main objections:
But even skeptics admit:
*"It is impossible to deny,
that Yagya creates a unique energy field,
which deserves further study."*
Conclusion: Science and Tradition Move Towards the Same Goal
Yagya is not an alternative to science.
It is a complement.
What the Vedas called "rita",
science now calls "field",
"vibration",
"informational impact".
These studies do not prove everything.
But they open the door.
A door to understanding:
that the ancients knew not only from faith,
but also from experience,
which is now beginning to be confirmed by measurements.
