Yagyas for Spiritual Development

1. Introduction: why does a truth-seeker need Yagya?

Yagya is not just a way to get rid of disease
or attract abundance.
For a truth-seeker (sadhaka),
it is an instrument of inner growth,
a means to cleanse the mind,
strengthen concentration,
and prepare consciousness for liberation (moksha).

In the Bhagavad Gita (4.24), it is said:

"Yajnaih yajnamayajyati"
One sacrifices Yagya into Yagya.

This is a hint:
Yagya can be not just a ritual,
but a form of meditation in itself,
where each action is a step towards the Absolute.

2. How Yagya contributes to spiritual development

1. Karma purification (karma-shuddhi)

Each ahuti (sacrifice into the fire) —
is a symbol of renunciation of attachment.
When you offer oil, rice, sweets —
you are not just "performing a ritual".
You let go of the desire for results
one of the main obstacles on the spiritual path.

This is directly related to the teaching of desireless karma (निष्काम कर्म),
which Krishna gives to Arjuna in the Bhagavad Gita.

2. Strengthening the mind (mani-shakti)

Repetition of mantras with concentration,
the rhythm of breathing,
the rhythm of offerings —
all this trains the mind,
like meditation.
Especially Yagyas with 1008 or 10,000 repetitions —
this is dhyana in action.

3. Activation of the inner fire (kundalini-shakti)

The fire of Yagya is not just external.
It resonates with the agni-chakra (in the navel area)
and helps awaken the inner fire,
necessary for burning ignorance.

4. Support in meditation

After Yagya, the mind becomes quieter,
attention — more stable.
Many sadhakas note,
that meditation after Yagya becomes deeper,
effortlessly.

                        4. How to incorporate Yagya into spiritual practice

                        • Time: morning or evening.
                          • Duration: 5–10 minutes.
                            • Offerings: a drop of ghee, rice with turmeric.
                              • Mantra: Om Agni-aye Svaha (11 or 108 times).
                                • Goal: daily cleansing, support of sadhana.

                                2. Periodic Yagyas

                                • Once a month (for example, on a full moon).
                                  • By purpose: before starting to study the Vedas, before a meditation retreat, when transitioning to a new level.

                                  3. Participation in collective Yagyas

                                  • If you cannot perform it yourself —

sign up for participation in a Yagya conducted by Brahmins.
                                  • Receive prasad, report, photo —

and on the day of the ritual light a candle at home,
                                  say the mantra,
                                  remember the intention.

                                  5. Modern significance

                                  For the modern seeker,
                                  living in the city,
                                  working,
                                  a family man,
                                  Yagya —
                                  is not renunciation,
                                  but sanctification of everyday action.

                                  It helps:

                                  • not to lose direction,
                                    • not to get lost in vanity,
                                      • maintain clarity of mind,
                                        • go to the truth —

not through renunciation of the world,
but through service in the world.

                                        6. Our practice

We conduct Yagyas for spiritual development in accordance with the Shatapatha Brahmana, Garuda Purana, and Tantra Raja Tantra,
                                        under the guidance of Brahmins,
                                        specializing in Vedanta and meditation.

                                        Each Yagya:

                                        • is conducted at an auspicious time,
                                          • using fresh, organic materials,
                                            • with control of mantra accuracy,
                                              • and ends with the delivery of prasad and a report.

We do not require you to become a hermit.
We help to live in the world — but not to be consumed by it.

                                              Oṁ svāhā
